One Day in Hamburg

What do you do when you have one day in Hamburg?

Hamburg is Germany's second largest city and the eighth largest city in Europe. It's located in the north of Germany at the Jutland peninsula between continental Europe to the south and Scandinavia to the north.

First location I went to was the city hall at the Rathausmarkt from where you can walk by the Kleine Alster to the Alsterarkaden and Jungfernstieg (lots of places for shopping!!!).

Next place you don't want to miss is the Speicherstadt (literally: City of Warehouses, meaning warehouse district), which is the largest warehouse district in the world. The buildings stand on oak logs.

Speicherstadt is located right in the port of Hamburg, within the HafenCity district. It was built from 1883 to 1927 and has been awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.

To have a better view on the entire city you can visit the tower of Hamburg's most famous church St. Michaelis, aka Michel.
