Krabi & Phi Phi Islands - Thailand

The first time I visited Thailand was in 2012. It was my first time in Southeast asia period. I spent about a week in Ao Nang in the Krabi province, which is located in the south west coast of Thailand at the Andaman Sea. Empty beaches, tropical weather, extremely nice people, good food - what else can you ask for?!

The hotel I stayed in was the "Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort Klang Muang Beach" - which is the "Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort" now. I absolutely recommend it. Here're some pictures of the hotel:

Since I traveled in the beginning of March we had some rain in the afternoon since the rainy season starts in March. But it took maybe 30 minutes and then the sun would come out again and the temperatures never dropped.

One activity I recommend is taking a speedboat tour to the Phi Phi islands. You will see the most gorgeous islands ever!! Just take a look at the pictures below. I want them to speak for themselves.

view from Ao Nang of the Andaman Sea

First stop: Bamboo Island! See the pictures below? No words needed.

Next stop: Ko Phi Phi Don, the largest and most populated island of the Phi Phi Islands. Here you can eat, shop, relax.

Next stop: The Viking Cave in Phi Phi Leh.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of Maya Beach (where the movie "The Beach" was filmed), which is part of Phi Phi Leh. The smell of gas from the motor boats made me feel really sick. It is absolutely beautiful but too crowded with tourists.
I still fell in love with Thailand.

What is your favorite island?
